Project 300- Another McCarthy Cares Success Story! Project 300 has celebrated its 39th anniversary in style. The McCarthy Community rose to the “No Rest” challenge once again. With great efforts by our students and entire school community, over 24,000 food items have been delivered to the Salvation Army to help area people in need. Thanks to all who donated or assisted. A special thanks to Mr. Sullivan, who enthusiastically lead this endeavor taking over for Mr. Sargent. Pictured is the core group of about 20 grade eight students who worked with Mr. Sullivan, helped plan and mobilize for Project 300 and loaded the truck each day. Notice that the ENTIRE cafeteria had food donated on the last day! State representative Tom Golden also visited that morning and spoke with our grade eight helpers and made a donation as well. He could not believe the results as he saw the cafeteria full of food donations. We put the “E” in PRIDE! Nice job McCarthy!
