“Our mission is to cultivate inspired, creative, and well-rounded lifelong learners who possess the integrity and self-direction necessary to be contributing community members.”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Dear Harrington Families,

What an interesting week with another snow day and delay! However, the students did a great job this week and we saw many students and staff wearing green today!

I sent home an important letter regarding the upcoming installation of modular classrooms and our playground with the students and via email this afternoon. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Mr. LaCava

WORD OF THE WEEK!

The Word of the Week winners for the word “Ingenious” were: Wyatt Brown-Grade 1; Chase Harper-Grade 2; Athvika Varma-Grade 3; Jason Katz-Grade 4; Jack Kranz-Grade 4. The word this week was “hilarious”.

STRIPES AND PAWS VISITED THE FOLLOWING CLASSROOMS THIS WEEK

Congratulations to Mrs. Sawyer’s class (K for hosting STRIPES and Mrs. Macallister’s class (Grade 4) for hosting PAWS.

“V.I.P.” PROGRAM STARTS NEXT WEEK

On Monday I will announce our first round of VIP students based on staff recommendations. I look forward to recognizing these students for always showing expected behaviors at school!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL

With the added snow banks and limited parking, I ask that if you are driving around the building at drop off and/or pick up that you be extra careful in the parking lot.  I also ask that you follow our “traffic flow” since when cars go in the wrong direction is causes more of a back up. Thank you for your assistance.

TERM 2 CLOSED TODAY

Today was the last day for Term 2 in Grades 1-4. Parents will be able to view report cards for Term 2 on March 31st.

PTO INFORMATION

Greetings Harrington! The calendar may say March but it certainly feels like January out there. It was nice to have a snow day to break up the week but let’s hope that’s it for a while! Thank you to everyone who attended the PTO meeting on Monday. We received some great information regarding the incoming modular buildings as well as the playground relocation project. We were also able to discuss all the fun upcoming events we have planned for the end of the year, it will be here (with some warmer weather hopefully) before we know it! Thank you and have a great weekend!

Square 1 Art

Due to the storm Square 1 Art will be extended until March 24th. Please submit all creations by next Friday. If you have any questions please contact Azra Cosic. Thank you!

HPTO Board for the 2017-2018 School Year

We would like to mention that there are still seats open for next years’ HPTO Board. We thankfully have had volunteers for the Treasurer and Secretary positions but we still need a president and Vice President. The PTO serves a very important purpose in our school and without enough members to form a complete board it may not be able to operate next year. You don’t have to do it alone! Many of our members now are sharing the responsibility with another person. So if you have any interest or would like some more information, please come join us at the next PTO meeting or feel free to get in touch with either Jennifer Perry or Marcella Kranz for more information.

Box Tops

Please keep clipping those box tops, they greatly benefit our school!!
